Director and counsellor
David Thomson is a highly experienced and qualified counsellor with over 25 years of professional expertise. Holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and as a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), David has extensive experience across both corporate and community settings.
In his leadership career, David has held senior management roles in organizations such as Sodexo and The Wise Group, where he honed his strategic and operational leadership skills. He has also been instrumental in the development and direction of community counselling services, serving as the Director of Destiny Community Counselling. Additionally, David is a passionate educator, having taught counselling students up to diploma level at Destiny College in Glasgow.
David is married with 3 grown up children and 5 grandchildren.
Counsellor
Annette is a highly qualified counsellor with over 20 years of experience and is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She specializes in working with young people and facilitating group therapy sessions. Annette brings a wealth of expertise in supporting vulnerable groups, including those affected by addiction, homelessness, and trauma.
Her extensive experience includes providing counselling services in local schools and community settings. Annette’s core strengths lie in personal development, one-to-one therapy, and the training of others. Additionally, she is a certified Qigong instructor, integrating holistic approaches into her practice.
Project coordinator
With over 14 years of experience in the health service, Katie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role of Project Coordinator at AD Therapies. Throughout their career, they have developed strong skills in organization, communication, and leadership, making them well-suited to managing projects that enhance mental health services.
In her spare time Katie enjoys reading and spending time with her daughter and husband.
